Was listening to the radio the other day. The DJs were playing 'teka siapa' games whereby they give a list of attributes of someone, and makes the listeners guess (in their mind) the person that they were talking about.
They started out by saying that this particular person has a collection of 7000 cars. still not amazed? The DJ then added, 'Opps, I mean 7000 Luxury cars'. She (Fara Fauzana) proceeded with listing out the proportions of the Luxury cars that this particular person owns.
He/she has a collection of:
- 604 Rolls Royces
- 574 Mercedes-Benzes
- 452 Ferraris
- 382 Bentleys
- 209 BMWs
- 179 Jaguars
- 134 Koenigseggs
- 21 Lamborghinis
- and 1 SSC
- No. Myvi (my dream car) was not in this list.
And so I started to subconciously guess who the person is. Must be a fancy Hollywood star, or a fancy businessman, Donald Trump, maybe? Ah, don't really care. I even wondered if he/she managed to drive each of the 7000 cars. He/she would need about 19 years if he/she were to use one car per day. Wah, pandai pulak aku kira (7000/365 days).
And Fara then announced who the owner of this collection is:
He is............Sultan *runei (between Sabah & Sarawak).
My heart sank.
I was disappointed.
Very disappointed.
Not that I didn't expect him to have such a lot of money. I know he can buy the whole world (literally). Everyone knows that.
It's the fact that it's HIM.
When the majority of people in this world are:
- struggling to make ends meet
- struggling to pay for the-ever-rising petrol prices
- struggling to pay car loans
- struggling to even get a car loan
Why 7000? And no, no I am not jealous. I don't fancy any of his luxury cars. It's just.........
Disappointing. It's disappointing how people base their decisions.
But nonetheless, its his money. He may do whatever he wants with it.
It is okay, remember..
